
Accra, Aug. 17, GNA - Members of the late President John Evans Atta Mills' Funeral Planning Committee (FPC) would pay their last respects at the Asomdwee Park on Friday.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Deputy Minister of Information and member of the FPC said they would be led by the Chairman, Mr Kofi Totobi Quakyi.
“The FPC is extremely honoured to have joined Ghanaians and the international community to organise a historic send off for an exceptionally noble and selfless statesman. We cannot also afford to miss the opportunity to pay our last respects before the Asomdwee Park is temporarily closed to the public this Sunday evening,” the statement added.
The statement gave the assurance that "The FPC will address the press sometime next week to render full stewardship on matters relating to the successful organisation of our beloved late President's funeral".
