Tributes & Condolences TRIBUTE TO LATE PRESIDENT JOHN EVANS ATTA MILLS LESSONS TO GHANAINS FROM THE PRESIDENT MEMBERS OF FOUNDATION FOR END TIME REPENTANCE REST IN PEACE PRESIDENT ATTA MILLS
AUG 14, 2012 LISTEN

Death is not the end of life
When one dies, its certainly not the end of his life, rather it's a temporal end of life on earth and a transition to the next world.

Christians, like the late President of Ghana who was buried just last Friday 10th August 2012, believe that there is life after death.

Our Ex-President publicly confessed and professed his faith in the Savior and Lord Jesus Christ and was assured of salvation and eternal life.

He secured his name prominently in the Eternal BOOK OF LIFE.

On Behalf of all the Pastors, Executive Board and members of the Foundation for End-Time Repentance, and my very self, I wish the Ex-President A VERY PEACEFUL REST.

As an Evangelist and Marketing Executive, I do not mince words nor exaggerate with words to appear nice and attractive, but am always guided by what the Bible says, let your YES be YES, and your NO be NO.

To say REST IN PEACE to my departed President, I really mean to indicate that He is sleeping confidently certain of where he is going and where he will be when he wakes up.

REST IN PEACE – Indicates freedom from stress and worry.

It means a deep assurance that he will not suffer disease, sickness, insult, pressure and natural weaknesses any more. The Bible he believed and declared often in his public life, assures him that he will be given a new and glorified body which is limitless and free from stress and pressure, AMEN.

President Atta Mills is RESTING IN PERFECT PEACE because he did not greedily gather earthly properties and wealth but stored his riches in Heaven where no one will compete for it and where they are 100% security is secured.

Ghanaians, especially Christians should not mourn and wallow in sorrow and tears for a man, our ex-president who is resting peacefully, waiting to be received in the beautiful Heaven prepared for those who accept the Lord Jesus as their personal savior and publicly confess it with their mouth.

We must rather weep for ourselves, we the living who are vulnerable, unpredictable, undependable, fragile, wicked, sinful and unforgiving.

We must learn valuable lessons from the legacy of HUMILITY and SIMPLICITY that President Atta Mills has left us.

Ghanaians must soberly reflect on the words of wisdom in the Bible, which has been evidently amplified by the tributes ascribed to the late president, which says:

“A good name is better than fine perfume and the day of death better than the day of birth” Ecclesiastes 7:1.

President Atta Mills celebrated his 68th Birth date three days before his departure to his maker, but clearly, the celebration of his death has been more glorious and simply better than the celebration of his birth.

The Ghanaian late president, John Evan Atta Mills is resting in peace because he earned a GOOD NAME whilst on earth and left that good name secured in the everlasting book of life in Heaven.

Ghanaians must not only say all these nice words and repeat them with exaggeration daily, but believe and do the principal thing he did to earn those attributes, and that is trusting God and confessing God's only son JESUS CHRIST as Lord and Savior.

It will be a great hypocrisy if we praise him for his believe in God and yet we quickly turn back from his God to serve other gods and our-own – selfish desires.

The most significant lesson from the demise of President Mills is that power, wealth, fame, praise, beauty, money, houses, lands, glory and popularity are all vanity.

Vanity upon vanity equals to vanity.
Ecclesiastes 1:14-18, 2:1-11
I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

What is twisted cannot be straightened; what is lacking cannot be counted.

I thought to myself, "Look, I have grown and increased in wisdom more than anyone who has ruled over Jerusalem before me; I have experienced much of wisdom and knowledge.

Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind.

For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.

I thought in my heart, "Come now, I will test you with pleasure to find out what is good." But that also proved to be meaningless.

"Laughter," I said, "is foolish. And what does pleasure accomplish?"

I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly--my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was worthwhile for men to do under heaven during the few days of their lives.

I undertook great projects: I built houses for myself and planted vineyards.

I made gardens and parks and planted all kinds of fruit trees in them.

I made reservoirs to water groves of flourishing trees.

I bought male and female slaves and had other slaves who were born in my house. I also owned more herds and flocks than anyone in Jerusalem before me.

I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired men and women singers, and a harem as well--the delights of the heart of man.

I became greater by far than anyone in Jerusalem before me. In all this my wisdom stayed with me. I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my work, and this was the reward for all my labor.

Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.

(By Wise King Solomon)
If you gain the whole world and lose your very soul, what a great loss and bankruptcy that would be.

The Fact that President Atta Mills accepted the Lord Jesus as Lord and Personal Savior, indicates that he acknowledged his sins and accepted the fact that he was not an angel or sinless, supper human being.

Ghanaians must learn that the greatest humility is to accept your faults and errors and subscribe to the forgiving and 'correcting' grace of God.

We must not allow political advantage and gains to distort our behaviors and competition.

Man is limited by what we see from outside but God sees both the outside and inside disposition.

JESUS is the only prince of Peace and president Mills tried to be a man of Peace.

Ghanaians imbibe in our life and politics this virtue of peace, tolerant, respect of opinions and the elderly, truth, honesty, simplicity and humility to concede defeat and praise our opponent.

Ghanaians must put our faith and trust in God who has been gracious to us by blessings Ghana with great wealth and Resources.

It will be a great Shame and unforgivable offense and abomination to continue in the exchange of bickering and hate speech spiced with lies, half truths, corruption, diabolic and demonic tendencies, especially in our political discourse and campaigns.

The Government and Government –party activists must initiate the honorable steps at ensuring dignity and sanity in speech and respect the opinions of other political parties. They must be sincere and truthful in all their speeches and publications.

And the opposition political parties must also be truthful, honest and very considerate in their campaigns.

Peaceful Election is the greatest
Honor to the memory of late president John Evans Atta Mills.

Pastors, statesmen, Traditional leaders, Religious leaders, the Academicians, civil servants and civil society organizations must demonstrate truth and honesty in our commentary, discussions, praises, debates, advice and criticisms.

LET'S ALL BEHAVE , SPEAK, WRITE, AND BREATH PEACE!! PROFESSOR MILLS REST IN PERFECT PEACE.!!
