Mr. Kojo Appiah Boamah, The country representative of Hollander and sons company limited has advised the youth of Ghana to exhibit patriotism and genuinely support developmental project coming to their area.
Mr. Appiah said, it is disheartening and unencouraging to see that the entire burden is left on an organization that is helping a community with a developmental project.
Mr. Appiah was speaking at Akyem Gyadam during the commissioning of a new clinic and an ICT center in the town. The two project which cost GH¢48,000.00 with computers donated by the Flemish Parliament were jointly founded by the city of Antwerp, Belguim, Okyeman Union, Ghana Coucil in Belgium, Hollander and sons, Gyadam community development fund, FOS Belguim, Kapellen library and Mr. & Mrs. Biets Broux (Belgium)
Apparently not happy with the unsupportive behaviour exhibited by the youth of Gyadam, Mr. Appiah charged the Youth to do away with such unwholesome behaviours and support philanthropists who selflessly provide such facilities with their strength through communal labours and other means.
All other speakers on the day which include the MP for the area, Hon. Owusu Boateng, the Assembly member of the area Hon. William Qauitoo, President of Northern sector of Ghana council Mr. Ahmed Ujjah, chief Gyadam Barima Kwasi Nketia II chastised the Youth of the town of their selfish and unsupportive attitude exhibited during the construction of the project.
Meanwhile, the Assembly member of the town Mr. William Quaitoo has pledged to do everything possible to help the two edifices function very well.
Mr. Peter Switsers, representative of the city of Antwerp has pledged his town's unflinching support to the Gyadam community.
