The late President Mills buried

Accra, Aug. 10, GNA - The mortal remains of the late President John Evans Atta Mills was lowered into the grave at the Geese Park at 1515 on Friday, August 10.
The officiating clergy was led by Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel K. Asante, Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana.
At the graveside were President John Dramani Mahama and wife Lordina, the widow, Dr Mrs Ernestina Naadu Mills, Mr Samuel Kofi Atta Mills, son of the late president, former President Jerry John Rawlings, Dr Mrs Mary Grant, a former Member of the Council of State and Ministers of State with the Ghana Armed Forces Central Band in attendance.
After the interment, the 64 Artillery of the Ghana Armed Forces gave a 21-gun salute, the last post sounded. A two-minute silence was observed in his memory, then followed the reveille and laying of wreaths.
The first wreath was laid by President John Dramani Mahama on behalf of the government and people of Ghana. He bowed and made the sign of the cross.
He was followed by the widow, Dr Mrs Naadu Mills, Dr Cadman Atta Mills and his sister on behalf of the family.
The fourth wreath was laid by Dr Mrs Grant, on behalf of the Council of State, the fifth was laid by Mr David Asumeng, the Member of Parliament for Shai Osudoku on behalf of Parliament and the sixth by Lieutenant General Peter Augustine Blay, Chief of Defence Staff.
The Sword of the Office of Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces wrapped in the national colours was presented to Mrs Naadu Mills.
