Winneba, Aug 9, GNA -The Winneba Police Command has said the death of Hilaria Trave, a 53-year-old business woman on August 01, was as a result of gunshots.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Martin Asamoah, the District Police Commander, told the GNA that a post mortem showed that she was shot.
Narrating the facts, DSP Asamoah said on August 01, police received telephone call from a Good Samaritan that the deceased has been attacked by armed robbers at her residence at Winneba.
He said the Winneba Police Patrol Team rushed to the scene and saw a crowd in front of the deceased's house.
DSP Asamoah said the police were told that neighbours of the deceased heard firing in the deceased's house and when they got there they found her in a pool of blood in her bedroom.
The police were told that the robbers drove away the deceased's bus but the police later found between Gomoa Akotie and Gomoa Akramah.
