Akrokerri (Ash), Aug 6, GNA - The National Executive Council of Association of Catholic Teacher Trainees has paid tribute to late President John Evans Atta Mills and said he worked tirelessly for the progress of the country.

“His zeal and determination to make Ghana a better place is implanted in minds and hearts of Ghanaians,” the Association said in a statement signed by its national Chairman, Mr Charles Nketia Anderson.

It described the late President as a man of peace, tolerant, visionary and had a good sense of humour and added to this was his faith in God.

The statement said Ghanaians and teachers in particular would miss late President Mills for his significant contribution to the country's development and appealed to the people to let his death unite the nation, especially in the run-up to the December general elections.
