Theme: “SAFEGUARD YOUR HEART!”
TREVISO, ITALY— Friday to Sunday August 3-5, 2012 a Convention of Jehovah's
Witnesses in Twi (Ghanaian) language will take place.
This event will give the possibility to all Ghanaians spread all over Italy, from the north to
the south, to gather together and listen to up building strengthening discourses based on
the Bible in their own mother tongue Twi.
Each day will develop a theme based on a different Bible scripture such as:
Friday's theme -
“As for Jehovah, He sees what the heart is” (1Samuel 16:7)
Saturday's theme -
“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew
12:34)
Sunday's theme -
“Serve Jehovah with a complete heart” (1Chronicles 28:9)
The Bible mentions the heart nearly a thousand times. God moved King Solomon to write:
“More than all else that is to be guarded, safeguard your heart, for out of it are the sources
of life” (Proverbs 4:23). The quality of our life now and our prospects for future life depend
on the condition of our figurative heart. The convention will answer questions like: What is
the figurative heart? Why and how should we safeguard our heart?
A Public Bible Discourse with the theme: “The Former Things Will Not . . . Come Up Into
the Heart” will be pronounced on Sunday afternoon. Moreover, a Bible drama entitled
“What Is True Love?” will be presented. One of the most important moments will be the
baptism of new Jehovah's Witnesses by water immersion on Saturday morning.
The convention will take place in the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in San Vitale
di Canizzano, via delle Maleviste, 1 (Treviso, Italy). The program will begin at 9.20 am
each day and will close at 4.55 pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 3.40 pm on Sunday.
The invitation to attend is open to everybody. Admission is free and there are no
collections. Jehovah's Witnesses Conventions are entirely supported by voluntary
donations.
All the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses in twi language in Italy will participate in a
campaign of distribution of printed invitations for the Convention.
In Italy a total of 87 Conventions will be held in 21 cities in a variety of different languages.
Worldwide Jehovah's Witnesses count more than 7.600.00 members and they are
organized in more than 109.000 congregations.
