
Madina, July 26, GNA - The Executive Head of Financial Control and Systems of the Bank of Africa-Ghana, Mr. Festus A. Kwofie, today donated fifty (50) bags of cement valued at GH¢ 1,000.00 to the Madina Divisional Police Command.
Mr. Festus Kwofie, presenting the items, said it was a token from the Bank to assist the Ghana Police in Madina.
He said the donation formed part of their social responsibilities to assist in the construction of an office at the station.
Mr. Kwofie noted that, most of the police stations within the Greater-Accra Region he visited had deplorable accommodation facilities and urged other corporate organization to assist the police.
He said similar donations have been made to the Nima and Adabraka Police Stations.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Regional Police Commander, the Madina Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Mr. Anderson Fosu-Ackaah thanked the donors and said he was grateful for their timely intervention.
He said this would help in the construction of the office, adding that the bags of cement would be used to plaster the new adjoining office buildings.
He thanked his predecessor Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr. Paul Ayitey, who begun the project.
At the ceremony were Mr. Frank Ampofo, Manager of the Madina branch of the Bank of Africa-Ghana, Mr. Kofi Fumey Head of Marketing & Corporate Communication and Mr. Abbey Quaye, Head of Security also from the Bank, the Deputy Commander of Madina MTTU Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr. Charles Ahiamale and the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in-charge of Finance, Madam Marian Amponsah.
