Accra, July 23, GNA - Nii Armah Akomfrah, Director of Communication of the Convention People's Party (CPP), has said the scale of disillusion and disenchantment among Ghanaians is linked to the acrimony and hatred between the NPP and NDC.

He said Ghanaians were aware of the polarisation that the two parties had brought to the nation over the years leading to a huge loss in national cohesion.

He said many blamed the two parties for the tensions during the biometric registration exercise leading to hate speech and the current huge financial liabilities to be incurred by government in the settlement of of Judgement Debts.

A statement issued in Accra on Monday copied to Ghana News Agency said Nii Akomfrah made the observation when speaking to journalists in Accra.

He said Ghanaians believed the NPP and NDC had not only been a security threat to the stability of the nation but also a financial threat to the future of the nation in taking the country into a huge and wasteful ditch debts.

Nii Akomfrah said going round the country the CPP message had been simple and straight forward - “The CPP gave birth to the nation and like any mother child relationship the CPP puts the country first ahead of its interests and that the CPP had suffered the pain over the years watching the NPP and NDC polarising the country and wasting the country's financial and other resources”.

“The only way forward is for Ghanaians to solve the problem once and for all by keeping these two parties away from Government in the coming elections,” he said adding that "the 'Successor Generation' are now at the helm of affairs of the CPP and are determined that Ghana Must Work Again."

The statement said the CPP Parliamentary Aspirants were currently engaged in door to door campaign in many parts of the country and the feedback so far is quite worrying.
