The London town of barking on the 18th of August 2012 will witness a diverse and vibrant celebration of Ghana and the rich African culture at a post-Olympic celebratory event organised by Ghanaian Londoners.
The 2012 Olympic event in London has increased cultural awareness and diversity in London as all nations come together to compete for the chance of winning a medal. To show support for our nation Ghana and our Olympians, Ghanaian Londoners, a social enterprise based at the London business hub of Barking is organising a cultural themed event to celebrate all things Ghanaian in London.
The event Celebrate Ghana 2012 promises to be a vibrant cultural celebration of our history and presence in London as we showcase the diverse Ghanaian talent, culture, arts, food, music and the general hospitality of our people. Celebrate Ghana 2012 is aimed at bringing together Ghanaian Londoners, the African community and anyone with an interest in Ghana and influenced by African culture to celebrate Ghana and our Olympians in a fun, relaxed, social setting.
This event is open to all individuals, families, communities, organisations and visitors in the UK with an interest in Ghana and anyone who wishes to explore the rich vibrant Ghanaian culture.
Celebrate Ghana 2012 is scheduled to take place on Saturday 18th August from 2.30pm - 5.30pm at the ripple centre in Barking.
