
Accra, July 04, GNA -Eaton Towers Ghana, a telecommunication infrastructure dealer, has presented 12 tents to the Greater Accra Regional Police Command in Accra to support its operations.
Making the presentation on behalf of the company, the Human Relations Manager, Joseph Kuukpen, said security in the country was essential for the development of the country.
He said crime against businesses did not augur well for the socio economic development of the country.
Mr. Kuukpen said there was the need to support the security services to enable them to maintain peace and stability in the country.
He commended personnel of the Ghana Police for their dedication to duty even at the peril of their lives and assured them of the company's continued support.
The Accra Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Patrick Eden Timbilla, said the items could be useful, especially during the elections.
“The election is near and we need to build up tents to support security needs,” he added.
He said though it was the duty of the government to provide logistics to the Ghana Police Service, assistance from corporate organisations were welcomed.
The commander commended the company for the kind gesture and assured that the items would be used for the intended purpose.
