A Concerned members of the Musama Disco Christo Church (The Army of the Christ) made up mainly including the youth of the church, has petition His Excellency Prof. John Evans Atta Mills president of the republic of Ghana through the able office of the Ministry of chieftaincy and culture to used his good offices to help restore peace in the church, after almost 10years of litigation at the law courts.

The District Pastor for MDCC,Rev. Robert Kofi Ashong hinted that the purpose of the peace walk is to call for peace in the Musama Church since continues litigation at the law courts and subsequent confusion can spill over into the community and become a national problem the community as have been witnessed in various of parts of the country in recent times.

He reiterated that the majority and the youth of the church believes that coming together as one family and thinking together is the way forward and therefore humbly petitioning the president as the father of the nation to intervene in the crisis of the church, especially as it has the potential of disturbing the peace in the community.

In his remarks, Mr M.A Nuhu, Chief Director of the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture, who received the petition on behalf of the sector Minister, Mr Alexander Asum-Ahensah, assured members of the intervention to justify the problems

Mr. Nunoo noted that majority of the church constituted that majority of the church constituted about 85percent of the church population in Ghana. The Government is aware of the church contribution into the economy.

Meanwhile the peace walk and demonstration by the church is to create awareness of peace stability during and after 2012 polls, the walk started from kwame Nkrumah circle to art centre.
