Are Peptide Altering Drugs The Cause Of A Man Eating At Another Man’s Face?

On May 26 naked 31 year old Rudy Eugene was shot dead by Miami police after he had ripped off almost the entire face of his victim, 65-year-old homeless man Ronald Poppo. Witnesses at the scene said Eugene "growled" and continued to eat at Poppo's face after he was warned by police to stop. Miraculously Ronald Poppo survived the attack, but was left without a nose, his left eye was gouged out, right eye severely damaged and he suffered brain injury during the attack.

Two further cannibalistic attacks and a 'face eating' threat by a homeless man led to widespread panic across America and prompted the Center for Disease Control Prevention to issue a statement on 7th June that a zombie apocalypse does not exist in the United States.

Given that Eugene was someone with no history of mental illness, not known to have taken hard drugs and was seemingly normal before his attack which shocked the world, very few drugs are even capable of evoking that type of reaction in a person save for peptide altering drugs which can tweak a person's brain turning them into absolute monsters.

Eugine's girlfriend Ms. Bryant is being represented in her 'cannibalism awareness campaign' by the high profile celebrity litigation lawyer, Gloria Allred even though she has said that she has no intention of suing anyone. Ms. Allred defended publicity claims by the media and maintained she was hired to aid Ms. Bryant in her campaign against cannibalism. Let's hope Ms. Alfred's new found love of pro-bono cases is for genuine reasons and not to speed up the process of a medical research group e.g. paying Ms. Bryant an obscene amount of money to prevent her from letting into the public domain any information she may have as to where and in what circumstances Eugene acquired the tablets found in his stomach. Especially given that Eugene went from a seemingly normal man who when his car broke down informed his girlfriend by phone that his car had broken down and he would see her soon to someone who whilst walking home lost all inhibitions on the street taking off all his clothes during high temperatures of 90F and ate at a stranger's face.

“BATH SALTS” NOT TO BLAME
Although recent toxicology reports have indicated that bath salts are not to blame one wonders if standard labs would have been able to detect the active ingredient in these bath salts, MDPV. MDPV was first synthesized by the pharmaceutical research and manufacturing company Boehringer Ingelheim and patented by the company in 1969 but was never marketed by the company which specialises in marketing novel products of high therapeutic value for human and veterinary medicine. MDPV remained an obscure stimulant until around 2004 when it was reportedly sold as a designer drug with labs setting up shop in India and China and selling the drug on the internet under various companies and packaging. It is also known as Cloud 9, MTV, Magic, Maddie, Black Rob, Super Coke, PV and Peeve. By 2010 there was the first reports of the widespread retail marketing of "bath salts" containing MDPV in the US with the drug being sold at gas stations, truck stop stores and convenience stores which in turn meant more and more people were not only using the drug but getting more addicted to it. Therefore not until December of 2010 was MDPV officially considered "a drug and chemical of concern" in the U.S

As Mark Ryan, director of the Louisiana Poison Center told The New York Times these “bath salts” contain amphetamine-like chemicals that have uniquely hazardous effects on the brain. “If you take the worst attributes of meth, coke, PCP, LSD and Ecstasy and put them together, that's what we're seeing sometimes.”

PEPTIDE ALTERING DRUGS DESIGNED FOR MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENT

What has not openly been considered at this stage of the investigation is that Eugene may have willingly or unwillingly taken or inhaled a peptide altering drug that is clinically being tested. This is because the world is on the brink of a therapeutic revolution due to the rapid expansion in the use of peptides as drugs over the last decade. The world's pharmaceutical and medical research companies therefore have a lot of scientific and monetary interest in further developing peptide therapy through licensed and unlicensed medical trials.

Peptides regulate most physiological processes. They are already being used therapeutically in such diverse areas as neurology (treatment of the brain), endocrinology (treatment of diseases associated with internal glandular hormones) and haematology (a branch of medical science concerned with the study of blood, the blood-forming organs, and blood diseases). Most peptides cannot be administered orally therefore research is focussing on alternative routes of delivery, including inhaled routes.

With over 100 million obese people globally, and the incidence of obesity climbing, this is an area which will continue to be a major focus for medical research. In the U.S there has been a number of new obesity treatments recently licensed which demonstrates the magnitude of the need and the desperate desire for an effective medical treatment.

Obesity is also a major risk factor for heart disease, diabetes and stroke and the recent withdrawal from the market of phentermine and fenfluramine, indicates the difficulty in finding a safe and effective therapy.

The discovery of the adipose tissue peptide hormone, leptin, has also opened a new chapter in the search for an anti-obesity agent to regulate body weight. Leptin, a signal of the degree of body adipose tissue mass, decreases appetite and increase metabolic rate in animal models. External administration of this peptide could treat obesity. Conversely an antagonist could treat anorexia. In obese humans, leptin levels are high, yet they keep eating. This may reflect the fact that the transport system into the central nervous system is saturable, producing functional leptin resistance.

This is an active area of research with much therapeutic potential; the 'holy grail' of orally active peptides will soon be realized, and with it a rapid expansion of peptide therapy will ensue. Whether at the expense of licensed and unlicensed medical trials on human life is something we await to see.

IS THE HOMELESS COMMUNITY BEING TARGETED FOR DRUG TRIALS?

Given that the final stage of any clinical trial is a test involving 3-5,000 human 'volunteers' further inquiry should perhaps be made as to whether the homeless community in particular are being targeted with drugs that contain peptide altering properties. This is because most of the attackers have come from the homeless community in America. Although not all these attacks have been carried out by the homeless, a group that is often disregarded in society, a high amount of attackers have been homeless hence the Miami police statement on June 8th for people to “Please be careful when dealing with the homeless population.”

Even though the first known attacker Eugene was considered as having a fixed abode at a home in North Miami beach, he has had a string of arrests mostly for drug related offenses, trespassing and resisting arrest without violence, had an assortment of odd jobs, records show that in 1983, he was arrested for sleeping in public, the Miami Herald reports and court records also show that Poppo was treated for a gunshot wound at Jackson Memorial Hospital in January 1976. He listed his address at the time as a Salvation Army facility on Flagler Street in Miami therefore he was sometimes homeless.

PARTIES THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM DRUG TRIALS THAT MANIPULATE PEPTIDES

Ultimately a host of individuals and groups would have an interest in developing a peptide enhancing drug. Hate groups who for example tweak a drug so that it only affects a certain ethnic groups to try and show what supposed “savages” that particular group are and pharmaceutical organizations have monetary and scientific interests in further refining a “slim drug” or “happy drug” for mass consumption. Even intelligence agencies have an interest in developing a drug that can manipulate peptides in the brain for the ultimate mind control and behavioural modification of an individual or group. This was discovered in December 1974 when The New York Times reported that the CIA had conducted illegal domestic activities including experiments on U.S. citizens, during the 1960s. That report prompted investigations by the U.S. Congress, in the form of the Church Committee, and by a presidential commission known as the Rockefeller Commission that looked into domestic activities of the CIA, the FBI, and intelligence-related agencies of the military.

In the summer of 1975, congressional Church Committee reports and the presidential Rockefeller Commission report revealed to the public for the first time that the CIA and the Department of Defense had over an 11 year research program initiated by the CIA in 1953 conducted experiments on both unwitting and cognizant human subjects as part of an extensive program (MK-ULTRA) to influence and control human behaviour through the use of psychoactive drugs such as LSD and mescaline and other chemical, biological, and psychological means. They also revealed that at least one subject had died after administration of LSD.

SOUTH AFRICA'S HISTORY OF ATTEMPTING TO MANIPULATE PEPTIDES IN THE BRAIN TO TURN PEOPLE INTO “UNCONTROLLABLE MONSTERS”

After apartheid, Dr Wouter Basson or "Dr Death" as South Africans called him was tried in the Pretoria High Court from October 1999 to April 2002 on 46 charges ranging from murder to fraud and drug dealing arising from his role as head of the chemical and biological warfare programme at Roodeplaat Research Laboratories in South Africa before apartheid ended. When one witness, Dr Knobel, the former surgeon-general, was cross-examined during the trial, he admitted that Project Coast had researched into brain function, including the use of a machine called a "peptide synthesiser." This research, according to Cilliers, "terrified the world" because it was possible, through the manipulation of peptides, to alter brain function, perhaps permanently, either rendering previously normal people passive or turning them into "uncontrollable monsters."

What didn't escape the international media's attention during the trial as reported by the New Yorker is that Mike Kennedy, the then deputy director of South Africa's National Intelligence Agency (NIA), told The New Yorker that his “biggest concern was a kidnapping or assassination attempt by one of the foreign intelligence agencies that wanted to see Basson silenced." For months, many foreign governments nervously followed Basson's trial from afar as it threatened to expose the network and the maze of deeply embarrassing and shady deals between South Africa's chemical and biological warfare programme and the intelligence services of a host of nations, including America, Britain, Germany, Switzerland, East Germany, Croatia, Libya, China, Israel, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and Taiwan.

Dr. Dan Goosen, the first managing director of Roodeplaat, has said Basson ordered him "to research the possibility of developing a race-specific bacterial weapon after the South African embassy in London received a letter offering the formula for such a thing. "The letter, it was decided might be a trap, but Goosen completed his assignment - and concluded that it was theoretically possible to build a germ weapon that would target only blacks. He does not know what became of his report."

Dr van Rensburg, the former director of
Roodeplaat Research Laboratories (RRL) in South Africa, told the Truth Reconciliation Committee that: "Within two weeks of joining them, I realised this is not defensive work, this is offensive work. The most frequent instruction we obtained from Dr Basson...was to develop something with which you could kill an individual which would make his death resemble a natural death, and that something was not to be detectable in a normal forensic laboratory." Rensburg said he thought about leaving RRL, but was told that: "If you let the side down, you're dead."

CONCLUSION

Hate groups who for example who want to tweak a drug's peptide altering properties so that it devastatingly affects a certain ethnic groups to try and show what supposed “savages” that particular group are and pharmaceutical organizations have monetary and scientific interests in further refining a “slim drug” or “happy drug” for mass consumption. Even intelligence agencies have an interest in developing a drug that can manipulate peptides in the brain for the ultimate mind control and behavioural modification of an individual or group. Whether Eugene was given or voluntarily took peptide enhancing drugs that were absorbed or inhaled is something we will hopefully find out when the full toxicology report is shared by the authorities.

In one of the most bizarre cases to hit America, is it a coincidence that the attack occurred on Memorial Day a day to remember the sacrifices men and women made with their lives whilst serving in the United States Armed Forces? Was Poppo or even Eugene meant to be a sacrifice of some sort? The elections are also round the corner therefore whichever bad batch of peptide altering drug that Eugene may have digested could leave a dent in the subconscious minds of some voters when they decide on whether to vote for Obama based, unfortunately, on colour and the events that unfolded that fateful day on May 26. Perhaps that was the point of tweaking the drug for such use?

In any case there are too many questions and not enough answers at present. What is fact however is that a person with no history of mental illness, who is not known to have taken hard drugs, who was seemingly normal before his attack shocked the world by biting chunks of flesh off the face of a stranger. What we also know is that very few drugs are even capable of evoking that type of reaction in a person save for peptide altering drugs which can tweak a person's brain turning them into absolute monsters.

Therefore although zombie apocalypses are usually captured in bad horror movies, the recent spate of cannibalistic-like attacks cannot be ignored because the attacks suggest that it is possible to tweak a drug's properties to such an extent that you can alter the brain to help the user slim or in fact to turn them into "uncontrollable monsters."

Lest we also not forget the words of Alex Kinyua, 21, a college student who recently used a knife to carve up Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37, before eating his heart out and parts of his brain. After committing the act he took to a social networking site to boast about it to his friends saying: 'Are you strong enough to endure ritual HBCU [Historically Black Colleges and Universities] mass human sacrifices around the country and still be able to function as human beings?' He further warned that 'ethnic cleansing is the policy, strategy and tactics that will affect you, directly or indirectly in the coming months.'

If a drug can cause such a reaction in the human mind in terms of carrying out a cannibalistic act, it is imperative that the parties developing these lethal peptide altering drugs are found particularly since the research that was carried out in South Africa during apartheid in particular suggests that drugs can be designed to devastatingly affect only a particular ethnic group.

As Eugene's toxicology report indicates that he only had marijuana in his system, lets us hope that if a peptide altering drug was the cause of Eugene's attack, that they are detectable in the forensic laboratories that are carrying out the full examination of Eugene's body given Dr van Rensburg, the former director of Roodeplaat Research Laboratories (RRL) chilling words that the most frequent instruction they obtained from Dr Basson was to develop something with which you could kill an individual which would make his death resemble a natural death, and that something was not to be detectable in a normal forensic laboratory.
