
Nsueam (W/R), June 27, GNA- A 207 Benzes bus with on Tuesday killed a 40 year-old man on the spot at Nsueam in the Western Region, when he attempted crossing the road to the other end of the town.
The deceased, who is not a resident of Nsueam, has been identified as Frimpong Mensah.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), David Gyabaa,Tarkwa Divisional Crime Officer, confirmed the story to Ghana News Agency on Wednesday.
He said the accident happened around 1500 hours on Tuesday when the bus carrying passengers from Bogoso towards Takoradi on reaching a section of the road at the Nsueam Township knocked down Mensah killing him instantly.
DSP Gyabaa said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital morgue and the police are investigating the cause of the accident.
