President John Evans Atta Mills has by Executive Instrument declared Monday, July 2, a Public Holiday and urged the public to observe it as such throughout the country.

A statement issued in Accra by Interior Minster, Mr William Aboah explained that the decisison was made in view of the fact that July 1, Republic Day, falls on Sunday.
