Daboase (W/R), June 25, GNA - Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo, Western Regional Minister, on behalf of government presented 51 motorbikes to members of the Mpohor Wassa East District Assembly at Daboase, to enhance their work.
He said this would enable the assembly members to easily interact with the people and brief them of government policies, and projects for the area.
Mr Aidoo advised the assembly members to maintain the motorbikes and use them for the intended purposes.
He asked the assembly members to carry out their duties creditably.
Mr. Anthony Bassaw, the outgoing District Chief Executive of Mpohor Wassa East, said the presentation of the motorbikes to assembly members was a demonstration of the commitment of the Atta Mills led government to deepening decentralisation and the Better Ghana Agenda.
He asked the members to reciprocate the government's gesture by working hard to improve the welfare of the people who elected them.
