The Chairman of the UK and Ireland Chapter of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Horace Nii Ayi Ankrah, has expressed his disgust in the behaviour of “peripatetic Sekou Nkrumah” with his unguided use of freedom of speech and his constant misplaced references and unfounded attacks on President Mills.

“Dr Sekou Nkrumah seems to have had the nerves of a broken bottle to always undermine the integrity and focus of President Mills” he said.

Reacting to the recent call on President Mills to quit and also use a Ray Charles style of glasses, the Nii Ayi Ankrah claimed that “Sekou was not the only one who campaigned with then candidate Mills in 2008; a host of meaningful Ghanaians did from their homes and offices, on buses and trucks and to the remotest part of the country but none found him short of good health that should see him through an eight year mandate”.

The Chairman noted in a release that, that it was about time that somebody took on Sekou Nkrumah who has persistently displayed his ignorance in nation building through his shallow criticisms of the President and the NDC Party.

He claimed that at the time when Ghanaians expect people with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to current issues to educate them and engage in efforts to better their lives Sekou Nkrumah, by virtue of who his father was and is in Ghana's story as a nation, has failed and still failing.

“What has been Sekou's contribution to the displaced, the homeless and the hopeless?” Mr Ankrah asked. “Instead he has failed to contribute to a search for peaceful political terrain with his political prostitution which is unwholesome; he has failed to show that honour lay in our endeavours as politicians in our quest to serve the people of Ghana sincerely”.

The Chairman went on to remind Sekou Nkrumah and the good people of Ghana that it is the same candidate Mills who has gone on to chalk remarkable success in three and a half years in nation building.

“Sekou Nkrumah's disrespect for the Presidency, the President and the ruling NDC Party can only remind some of us what his roots did to our parents and to us as young boys forced into the Young Pioneers on a mission to bring disunity to our families, communities and society and who were on a journey to help stop freedom of speech which he Sekou is enjoying today but abusing”, the Chairman lamented.

Mr Ankrah called on the electorate to judge the President and the NDC by the excellent job done in three and a half years, the character of the President, especially his exhibition of tolerance, his issue beliefs and his level of focus on the Better Ghana Agenda but not on what disillusioned individuals have to lie about.

“Let us all support our leaders with constructive criticisms and suggestions that will make our nation great and strong” he concluded.
