Takoradi, June 12, GNA -Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, the presidential candidate of the Progressive People's Party (PPP) has undertaken a three-day tour of the northern part of the Western Region.
The tour took him to Enchi, Dadieso, Juabeso, Ankontombra and Sefwi Wiawso where he opened offices of the party.
According to Mr. Isaac Mensah, Regional Secretary of the party, Dr. Nduom used the tour to prepare the ground for sustained campaign in those areas to enable the party to win seats.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, he said the region was one of the areas the party was looking forward to winning many seats in the parliamentary election.
Mr. Mensah said the party would spearhead the development of the region that contributes greatly to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country but is sidelined in the allocation of development projects.
He said many policies of successive governments had failed to produce the desired results due to parochial and selfish interests of politicians, adding Dr. Nduom had the nation at heart and would work towards the holistic development of the country.
