Their Member of Parliament (MP), Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Isaac Kodobisah and other technocrats from the Ho Municipal Assembly were at Dzolokpuita, capital for the new district to inspect the structures and other preparations for its inauguration.
At a roundtable meeting prior to the inspection, the Paramount Chief of Avatime Traditional Area, Osie Adzatekpor thanked government for elevating the constituency to district status.
He added that the struggle that characterized the securing of the district was worth it because it had brought hope and excitement to all citizens of the Ho-west district.
Osie Adzatekpor underscored the enthusiasm and hard work being exhibited by residents to get the district ready for takeoff. He disclosed that the Chief of Dzolokpuita, Togbe Fiado and one Rev. Worlanyo Afenu had released 47 acres of land which had been surveyed and demarcated to start the construction of assembly offices and bungalows with the promise to release more when the need arises.
Osie commended Mr. Bedzrah for his commitment and invaluable contributions towards the fight for the new district saying 'he is the brain behind the success story.'
Ho MCE, Isaac Kodobisah also commended the MP for his hard work and commitment towards the preparations.
He noted that the MP with the support of the chiefs and people had spearheaded most of the preparatory work.
He urged the people to keep supporting each other to achieve the better Ghana agenda in the area assuring them of the assembly's support with logistics and human resources until the district can stand on its own.
After the inspection, Mr. Kodobisah said he was very impressed about the preparations made so far by the people and pledged government support to build permanent structures for them soon.
