
Ho, May 28, GNA-Dora Memorial, Mawuli and Kpedze Senior High Schools (SHSs) at the weekend emerged winners of this year's PZ Cussons Cultural Challenge in Ho.
They beat three other SHSs in debate competitions marking the 49th Africa Union Day.
The competition, which was laced with cultural performances and poetry recitals, was on the theme, “Peace building rather than conflict resolution.”
Mr Isaac Kodobisah, Ho Municipal Chief Executive, in a speech read on his behalf, urged the youth to act responsibly in the forthcoming elections to ensure a peaceful outcome.
Other speakers stressed the need for all to ensure that the elections were conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
Mr Gameli Datsomor, Volta Regional Representative of PZ Cussons, said peace was the prerequisite for development and urged young people to be tolerant.
The debaters and their teachers were given hampers made up of assorted products from PZ Cussons.
