
Fiifi Kwetey The Deputy Finance Minister contesting the Ketu South primaries of the National Democratic Congress, Fiifi Kwetey, has beaten the incumbent MP and six others to represent the constituency in the 2012 elections.
Mr Kwetey won by 403 votes as against 60 votes polled by the incumbent Albert Ziga, who came third.
Mr. Raphael Alorwu, a National Service District Director polled 82 votes, whiles Mr. Nyphson Agbagedy got 30 votes.
Mr. Nicholas Woclachie got six votes and the only female in the competition Mrs. Elizabeth Kuenyefu managed three votes.
Mr. Frederick Alipui, an Economic Consultant polled 1 vote.
The Deputy Finance Minister joins the likes of Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, Deputy Information Minister and Richard Quashiga, Propaganda Secretary of the NDC who have knocked off incumbent MPs to represent their constituents in the December polls.
A handful of NDC executives and government officials were in the Volta region to monitor the election.
