Ghana Health Service Goodlife Gameshow Season II ends

Accra, May 22, GNA - Zulfawu Salifu, a 22-year-old University graduate, beat three other finalists to emerge Season II Grand Prize winner of the Goodlife Game Show.

For her prize, she took away GH¢5,000 and other Goodlife souvenirs at a grand ceremony broadcast live on Viasat 1, a private television station at the weekend.

The Goodlife Game Show is part of Ghana Health Service (GHS) “Goodlife, Live it Well” campaign supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with technical support from the Agency's Behaviour Change Support (BCS) Project.

The Game Show, an entertaining and educational blend of multimedia and health information quizzes, was aimed at promoting health issues and to encourage good health practices.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Frank Nyonator, Acting Director General of GHS, encouraged Ghanaians to learn more simple tips on how they could protect themselves and their loved ones from diseases.

He expressed gratitude to USAID and the BCS project for their support in making learning about health issues a fun.

The Goodlife campaign was launched in November 2010 to promote healthier lifestyles among Ghanaians.

The campaign consists of sub-campaigns including the Child Nutrition Food Super Heroes, Malaria (Aha ye de), and Life Choices Family Planning campaigns.

The final episode of Season II of the Game Show marked the end of 13 weeks of health education and fun.

The show saw stiff competition among contestants with winners walking away with weekly cash prizes of GH¢1,000.
