The proprietor of Great Achievers Senior High School in the Kintampo North Municipality, Mr Jonah Kolimba said that the Private school providers in the country are purposely in to reduce the burdens of the government and not to shoulder everything. He added that even though the children in private schools are private students, they are not foreigners and the same to the teachers in such institutions. The proprietor of the school said this when he was addressing the students of SACS COLLEGE in Kumasi on the topic- The Role Of A Private School Teacher In National Development. He called on the government to involve the private school teachers in the best teacher awards scheme.
He said, how can a public teacher who himself has no confidence in his works and sent his children to private schools for better teachings be awarded living the teachers in private schools where they are mostly trusted for hardworking. Most teachers who receive best teacher awards have their children in private schools. Why do they do that? They themselves know that best teachers are in private schools.
Mr Jonah also urged parents to always visit their children's schools to monitor the performances of their children. He warned students to be careful of the use of facebook since it can be very dangerous to their lives.
