Nsawam (E/R), May 21, GNA – Pastor Michael Kissiedu Ansah, President of the True Worship Ministry in Accra, has called on Ghanaians to defend and uphold the peace the country is currently enjoying.
“Ghana is what we all have and so we all need to try as much as possible to defend and uphold the peace we are enjoying,” he said.
Pastor Ansah, who made the call at a non-denominational worship at Nsawam to pray for peace in the nation, said the fact that everybody did not belong to one party does not make us enemies.
The worship was organised by the True Worship Ministry and the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC Shepherds Temple) Nsawam on the theme: “Peace the short way for Sustainable Development - Isaiah 6:18-19.”
“Let us share our views and make our voices heard in a constructive and disciplined manner to prevent any chaotic situation in our communities,” he stressed.
He appealed to Ghanaians to desist from whipping tribal sentiments; this he said is gradually becoming a time bomb and urged that we should try as much as possible to run our politics devoid of insults.
The President of the True Worship Ministry advised the youth to be cautious about what they do before, during and after the election and should resist any attempt by any selfish politician or individual to lure them into causing mayhem in society.
He called on the ministers of the gospel to stand up and speak out against any negative attempt that would be made by any individual to derail the peace of the country and urged them to use the church platform to encourage members to lead worthy lives.
