Toptech Transport courts Ghana Police Service on road safety

Accra, May 18, GNA – Toptech Transport and Logistics (TTL), has earmarked GH¢2,000 to supply reflective jackets to personnel of Ghana Police Service to enhance their operations in reducing road crashes ahead of Election 2012.

Mr Cecil Ebow Garbrah, Executive Director of TTL made this known to the Ghana News Agency when the company donated 20 reflective jackets to the Osu Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Service in Accra on Friday.

He said the gesture formed part of the company's corporate social responsibility to enhance activities of the MTTU.

Mr Garbrah lauded the contributions of police personnel in controlling traffic and insisting on discipline on the roads, saying their efforts were invaluable towards ensuring road safety and national development.

He however, observed that most police personnel were operating without reflective jackets.

Mr Garbrah said the company was committed towards donating two dual pedal vehicles to the Ghana Police Training School to facilitate the training of the personnel on how to drive.

He said the donation was to be undertaken at La, Cantonments, Teshie and other police stations in Accra.

Deputy Superintendant of Police Mabel Arttee, in-charge of Osu MTTU received the items on behalf of the service.
