Delegates complains of late start of congress

Sekondi (W/R), May 12, GNA – Some delegates at the Convention People's Party National Congress at the Essipong Sport Stadium have expressed their frustration over the late start of the programme.

Whiles the two Presidential aspirants, who are contesting for the flag bearership of the party, Mr Bright Akwetey and Dr Abu Foster Sakara, were seriously canvassing for last minute votes, most of the delegates were complaining of the unavailability of food.

Some delegates who spoke to the Ghana News Agency, said they have not been served with food since this morning.

The GNA team spotted the presidential aspirants having close interactions with some of the delegates whiles they were mobbed by their teeming supporters amidst drumming and dancing.

Some traders have also taken the advantage of the congress to do their business of selling party paraphernalia such as hats, party flags and T-shirts.
