Legitimisation Of Terrorism, Tribalism And Lies Under President Mills (2)

'Action and reaction are equal and opposite,' Newton's Third Law of Motion.
'As a football manager, you have to be held responsible for results, as a player, you have to be held responsible for performances,' Graham Taylor, former England Football Manager.
'If they come for your brother in the morning and you don't speak up, they will come for you in the evening,' Malcolm X.
Since the Kennedy Ohene Agyapong episode broke, virtually all those who have so far commented on it have one way or the other chastised him for certain aspects of his outburst. While his political opponents, the NDC in particular, have pulled no punches in trying to crucify him in order to make capital out of it, those who are supportive of him, especially the faithful of the NPP have been more cautious and more understanding. However what worries me most is that since the Kennedy Agyapong episode broke, virtually all those including individual Men of God and religious organisations, secular individuals and organisations, be they political, cultural or civil society, who have commented on it have condemned Kennedy Agyapong, some in very strong terms, which could amount to sentencing him before the law courts have the opportunity to do their constitutional work, while only making innocuous passing comments on the causes of Kennedy Agyapong's outburst.
What virtually all those who have taken Kennedy Ohene Agyapong to the cleaners failed to recall was the anger Jonah displayed towards God for showing exceedingly and extreme patience for and tolerating the unacceptably uncouth behavior for so long of the sinful citizens of Nineveh. How can a society of discerning citizens, if indeed they exist, condemn the effect of an action first before making perfunctory passing comments on the serious nature of the causes? Why are the discerning people of this country, if indeed, they exist, not asking themselves the critical, crucial and pertinent question of all: What would have been the nature and state of the political atmosphere in this country if the illegal coup d'état of December 31, 1982 which ushered in the NDC had not taken place?
How can a society of discerning citizens close their minds and eyes to the fact that the genesis of the current violent, volatile and vituperative political climate results from the illegal coup d'état of December 31, 1982? How can we forget so soon the despicable events and process of December 31, 1982 which proclaimed the 'democratization of violence' as the philosophy in our socio-political system? Are we so daft as people whose country was the first black African country on the continent to attain independence from the colonial masters as to fail to make rational analysis and arrive at the appropriate conclusions? I have no doubt in my mind that this country, all things been equal, would be enjoying the serenity and peaceful and quiet atmosphere of a typical cemetery in a civilized democratic advanced country if the illegal coup d'état if December 31, 1982 had not taken place. Let me be equivocal here. The genesis of violence, terrorism, lies insults and hate speech in the politics of the 'Fourth Republic' lies squarely with the illegal coup d'état of December 31, 1982 with the formation of the PNDC which later metamorphosised into the NDC with virtually the same leadership. Anybody who has any other views must have his brains examined under the Hubble telescope.
Why can't the apostles of terrorism, tribalism and lies learn a lesson from the episode of Saul and change their evil ways before they become irreversibly blind from their misdeeds. From the pre-independence violence and tribal sentiments which ushered in our independence, the country was virtually at the point of full recovery by the 'Third Republic'. Then a group of blood-thirsty vampires with the frightening blood sucking reputation of Count Dracula and penchant for inflicting extreme violence on innocent people came together under the PNDC and violently took the whole nation to the precipice of the Stone Age. They hid their poverty and laziness of mind under socialist pretences while they kept from the public view their insatiable taste and appetite for the capitalist style of living. After eleven years of despotic, iron-fisted and atrocious illegal misrule, when they had appropriated most of the state resources to their own benefits, the international community forced these armed brigands to institute constitutional rule.
They illegally appropriated state resources to establish a political party, the NDC, and then used the powers of incumbency, evil propaganda, lies and arch-tribalistic sentiments of the leadership to remain in power for another eight ignominious years. Thereafter, the loss of power to the Kufuor NPP came to them by surprise. They spent the next eight years plotting how to win back power. What the nation needed at that time of the NPP administration was a benevolent dictator. Fortunately for them, and unfortunate for the nation, however the country was saddled with a benign democrat in leadership position who hid his incompetence in governance under his avowed democratic credentials. This made it easy for the NDC, aided by political subterfuge, foul propaganda, lies, violence, intimidation and ethnic sentiments to assume the reins of power led by a self-confessed born again Christian, incidentally holding a cross in his left hand and a sword in his right hand and casting innuendos left and right with a split tongue.
The scriptures tell us how Saul, in his zeal to finish off all 'believers', appointed himself the commander-in-chief of terrorism and set out to terrorise and arrest all 'believers'. God made him blind. However, the same God had compassion on him and restored Saul's sight. How many people who get punished for their evil acts against their fellow human beings ever have the opportunity or privilege of restitution? The NDC should not take the anger of God and the peaceful nature of the majority of Ghanaians for granted. The tomfoolery and buffoonery of the NDC goons and leadership have gone on for far too long. When the time comes for God to visit his punishment on the people who make up the NDC, I do not have any doubt in my mind that the good God would neither send another Jonah to them as he did to the people of Nineveh since enough warnings have been sent out to them, nor the good God show the compassion he showered on Saul by sending Ananias to lay his hands on him for his eyes to be opened.
Jonah was swallowed by the whale not because he was angry with God. He was swallowed by the whale because God still had an uncompleted assignment for him to perform while sending a strong signal to Jonah not to disobey His orders. There are no respectable citizens and organisations in this country that have not been verbally attacked and insulted by the NDC rented press as well as the brash, rash, disrespectful and uncouth toddlers of the NDC propaganda and communication nincompoops as well as their callous serial callers. Religious organisation like Catholic Bishops Conference, the Catholic Church and individual Men of God like the Ameer and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Maulvi Wahab Adam, the Catholic Archbishop of Accra, Archbishop Palmer-Buckle, Rev. Dr. Asante Antwi, former President of the Methodist Conference, the Moderator of the General assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey, just to mention a few have all been described as charlatans and false prophets and in other unprintable words by these uncontrolled NDC youths who are laws to themselves. In the same vein, renowned educationists like Profs. Addae-Mensah and Djangmah have been described as little minds who are not qualified to comment on the ruinous efforts by the NDC to reduce the four-year attested period for the senior high secondary school to three years.
Respectable organisations like the Ghana Bar Association, the Ghana Medical Association, the Association of Ghana Industries, the Trade Union Congress, the Judiciary and some superior court judges, press houses, civil society organisations and many more too numerous to mention have all come under arsenic and acerbic split tongues of these NDC hooligans and hoodlums. In all these, the elders of the NDC look on unconcerned and sometimes with genuine approval as if these charges under them are practising the politics of insult and hate speech in a moot court.
The time has come for all the good people of this country to wake up and answer to the call of Almighty God as He directed Jonah to condemn in public and in no uncertain terms the atrocities the PNDC/NDC have visited on this country over unprecedented gargantuan period of twenty two years and rid this country of this Sword of Damocles hanging on the head of this country. Failing that, I am convinced that good God shall send the whale to swallow all of the good people who are failing to condemn the misery the NDC is putting this country through. The next time round, the good God may not order the whale to vomit anybody out to have a second chance of survival. Miracles are not likely to happen again in these sinful times of ours. They should also keep in mind the words of Malcolm X quoted on top of this article and commiserate with those who have suffered unprecedented gargantuan insults and hate speech and bodily harm and financial loss from the NDC rascals.
