Volta Regional Minister promises to work efficiently

By GNA

Ho, May 11, GNA - Mr Henry Ford Kamel, Volta Regional Minister, on Thursday said that though he envisaged challenges in handling his new position, he would do his best to discharge his duties efficiently .

He said the high expectations of the people of the region required more than an ordinary output.

Mr Kamel, was interacting with a retinue of chiefs from the Buem Traditional Council, who called on him at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council office in Ho.

The Regional Minister, who is the Member of Parliament for Buem, said the visit of the traditional rulers was inspiring, and he was grateful just as he was to President John Evans Atta Mills for giving him the opportunity to serve the people in that capacity.

Mr Kamel said all parts of the region, including Buem, were getting a fair share of development projects.

He said the National Democratic Congress Government had provided more development projects for the region than other administrations, and deserved the commendation of the chiefs.

Nana Opraw Akwesi Akuamoah VII, chief of Kudje, and Nifahene of Buem, who led the delegation, said: “the visit was to show solidarity with their son,” and observed that it was the second time a citizen of the area was made Regional Minister of the region.
