Nana Kwame Adu VI, Tufohen of Oguaa Traditional Area and a member of the Planning Committee, enumerated the contributions of Asafo companies from the 1800s to the mid 1900 that culminated in Ghana achieving independence.
He said most of these achievements had been lost and since history is to help bridge the past and the present it was important that the achievements of the Asafo companies as well as their contributions to development were brought to the fore.
