Daboase(W/R), May 05, GNA -Tragedy struck Mensunkwa, a farming community near Daboase in the Mpohor Wassa East when a 75-year old farmer was found dead on his cocoa farm.
The police said the deceased; Alfred Lartey was found with a deep cut on his head, lying in a pool of blood.
The Western Regional Crime officer, Mr. James Kofi Abraham told the GNA that the tragic incident occurred on May 3, this month at Mensunkwa.
He said the police suspect foul play but no one has been arrested in connection with the murder.
The corpse had been deposited at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital pending autopsy while police investigation is underway to unravel the perpetrators of such heinous crime.
