Accra, May 3, GNA - Dr. Pascal Brenya, Chief Executive Officer of Focus Central Ghana Limited, on Thursday tasked human resource managers to adopt modern information techniques in selecting job applicants, especially during interview sessions.
“The global market trends have transformed job recruitment process as cultures have been developed to reduce institutional and individual liability, as well as the necessity to create conducive environment during the process to eliminate any form of victimization.
“The prospective job seeker must not be victimized or discriminated in any way, whilst protecting the company's reputation within the corporate world,” Dr Brenya told the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Accra.
He noted that to ensure fairness and transparency in the selection and recruitment of workers, a list of questions should be developed prior to interviews, and said applicants for the same position should be asked the same questions.
Dr Brenya advised prospective job seekers to prepare adequately such as gathering of information about job they are seeking, the institution, position, and skills needed to perform a particular job.
He said: “whether you end up on the management side of an organization or not, you need to know what questions can and cannot be asked of you during a job interview”.
Dr Brenya, who is training and capacity development expert , expressed concern about the lack of adequate preparation for interviews on the part of most job seekers.
