By Epic Global Media

(Accra, Ghana) Some of Ghana's leading minds gathered at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel to

learn how to make the most of the upcoming 'Ghana Multimedia Branding Campaign' for their companies and organizations. The workshop provided ways to make the most of the production, both through traditional marketing channels and through social media.

This is all part of an innovative media campaign that will be used to promote business and investment in Ghana. The initiative is a collaborative effort between EPIC Global Media, an award-winning creative agency, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ghana, and Ghana-based businesses, which involves the production of a multimedia branding campaign aimed at building and presenting the brand of Ghana internationally. The resulting 30-minute documentary-style production and 30-second commercial will air online and on television throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States.

The goal of the workshop was to give business leaders the tools needed to effectively promote their companies and organizations in the wake of the upcoming media attention. The workshop covered the importance of creating and managing a public image on social media. They were taught how to deliver a consistent message and attract positive attention for themselves through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The workshop was lead by James Brown and Sabrina Heinekey from EPIC Global Media, and featured comments by USAID/Ghana Deputy Mission Director, Peter Argo. Leaders from Ghana's communications, tourism, hotel, and energy sector attended the event.

The list of collaborating partners in the project includes: Brand Ghana, Cirrus Oil Services, EPIC Global Media, Ghana Free Zones Board, Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority, Ghana Tourism Authority, Golden Beach Hotels, Labadi Beach Hotel, IBM, Intercom Programming and Manufacturing Company (IPMC), Villa Monticello, National Information Technology Agency (NITA), The African Regent Hotel, The Ministry of Information, Tullow Oil Ghana, USAID/Ghana, GNPC, and Volta River Authority.
