
Police in the Northern region have intercepted a vehicle loaded with ammunition at Yendi where chieftaincy clashes were recently recorded.
The Northern regional Commander, ACP George Tuffuor told Joy FM that the suspects who were in the said vehicle didn't stop when they were flagged to, rather they sped to the Gbewa's Palace and abandon their vehicle.
The police who acted upon a tip off were able to retrieve one AK-47 as the vehicle's occupants still remain at large.
Mean while the police have mounted an intensive search for the suspects.
