Cape Coast, April 20, GNA - A Cape Coast Circuit Court has granted a 33-year old Computer Network Administrator of the University of Cape Coast a bail of GH¢10,000 with two sureties for allegedly defrauding two members of staff.
Eshun Isaac who pleaded not guilty to the charge would reappear on May 10.
Chief Inspector Francis Ockom told the court presided over by Mr Asare Nyarko that, in October last year, Eshun convinced one Emmanuel Kusi, a staff of the UCC that he imports laptop computer from China and sells them on credit bases and he could provide him with one if he was interested.
He said the complainant became interested and then gave the accused GH¢700.00 for a laptop but Isaac failed to provide the laptop.
He said the complainant who waited for a couple of months without Isaac providing him with the laptop decided to report the matter to the police.
Chief Inspector Ockom said the accused again on December 21, last year introduced himself to one Frank Kusi, who is also a staff of the UCC that he was a dealer in computer accessories and that he could provide him with pen drives, mobile phones and a digital camera.
He said Mr Kusi became interested in the deal and paid a sum of GH¢2.200.00 to Eshun for the said goods but Eshun also failed to provide the goods as agreed.
He said Kusi also after waiting for sometime without receiving the promised goods from Eshun, reported the matter to the police and the accused was later arrested.
