
Nkawkaw, April 17, GNA - Mr Victor Smith, the Eastern Regional Minister, has visited some Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) centres in the region and centres he visited Oforipanin Senior High School (SHS), WBN Zion SHS in the East Akim Municipality, Nsaba M/A Primary School and Nkawkaw SHS in the Kwahu West District.
Others are Mpraeso SHS, Bepong SHS in the Kwahu South and Abetifi Presby SHS in the Kwahu East District.
Mr Smith who was with the Regional Director of Education, Ms Adriana Kandilige, urged the pupils to desist from examination malpractices and urged them to work hard to obtain their good results.
A total of 1,992 candidates were registered in the Kwahu West District with 1,007 boys and 985 girls.
Kwahu South had a total of 1,138 registered candidates.
At Nsaba M/A Primary School, three girls were pregnant but no candidate was absent.
Two pupils, a boy and a girl, were absent at the Abetifi SHS examination centre.
