James ‘Bukom Fire’ Armah begins another journey into his tupsy-turvy boxing career next month when he fights for two separate titles on one night.

The 36-year-old is scheduled to fight Chad Bennett of Australia for the interim World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Oriental and WBO Asia Pacific super-lightweight titles on May 18 at the Newcastle Panthers Club, Newcastle, New South Wales, in Australia.

It will be the Ghanaian’s fourth fight in four years and his first title fight since September 2000 when he beat Bobby Vanzie in 12 rounds to retain the Commonwealth title at the time.

In what looks like a battle of oldies, the two men of advance ages might be attempting their last title fight.

Bennett, 38, is currently 28-4-3 (19KOs), while Bukum Fire is 17-1 (7KOs) going into the bout.

“It’s a chance and I will make the most of it,” Armah said.
