With barely six months for Ghanaians to go to the polls, Ghana’s ambassador to Egypt and a leading Member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Said Sinare, has called on members of the party to remain strong and prepare to work hard to retain President Mills in December.

According to him, it will be in the interest of all Ghanaians, especially party supporters and sympathisers, and also first time voters to maintain the NDC in the 2012 elections.

He stressed that the current administration had kept faith with the good people of Ghana, by pursuing programmess and policies that had benefited of the people.

He said, “unlike the NPP, the President Mills led government has done in three years what the NPP couldn’t do in eight years.”

Speaking to the media after donating 19 motorbikes to some regional chairman across the country, Alhaji Sinare observed that the donations of the bikes would facilitate party work.

The Northern Region had six, the Upper East and West regions got three each and the Volta Region had two. The Western and Eastern regions had two each while the Zongo Caucus had one.

He promised to deliver more to the Greater Accra, Central and the Brong Ahafo regions soon.

The one time Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayawaso Central constituency in the Greater Accra region contended that the achievements chalked up in building a strong and robust economy, the removal of school under trees, distribution of free school uniforms, computers and exercises books, including the enhancement of other social intervention programmes such as the National

Health Insurance, school feeding programmes, the introduction of the Livelihood Empowerment Development Programme (LESDEP) and

many other projects to absolve graduate unemployment.

The affable vice chairman of the ruling NDC mentioned the infrastructure development across the country as some of the achievements that had significantly improved the lives of the people and also given Ghana a face-lift.

The Ghana Ambassador to Egypt said, “with the level of development across the country, I see more hope in the current NDC government than any of the other political party in the country.”

Alhaji Sinare indicated that the NDC family must maintain the party in power, adding “we are better off in the NDC, thus the need to sacrifice for it to secure a second term.”

“Let us rally under the great AKATAMANSO for a Better Ghana,” Alhaji Sinare added.

The recipients of the motorbikes assured Alhaji Sinare that they will use the facility judiciously to ensure that President Mills is retained.
