Director of Communications at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho is optimistic that the people in the Volta Region would vote massively for President John Mills in the December polls.
He says Voltarians are happy with the enormous developmental projects in the area by the Mills-led administration hence will maintain their loyalty to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Anyidoho's comments come on the back of a day's visit to southern Volta on Thursday by the President.
Some residents in the region had on Wednesday bemoaned what they said was the lack of development in the region.
But Koku Anyidoho on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, reiterated government's commitment in fulfilling all campaign promises it made to the people of the Volta Region ahead of another crucial elections.
He said the Mills-led government would never neglect its 'world bank' but would work assiduously to complete all projects in the region.
Mr. Anyidoho who was with the president on his visit to the southern parts of the Volta Region to inspect some government projects and tour some biometric registration centres, debunked claims that President Mills was in the region to win sympathy.
The presidential aide said the chiefs and people in the region received the president in a jubilant mood and promised their unflinching support for President Mills' second term bid in office.
Koku Anyidoho said Voltarians are very appreciative of efforts being made by the government to connect them to the national grid.
