Barely month after that the Omanhene of the Jomoro Traditional Area, Awulea Annor Adjei III, declared a bloody war against his neighbours in Ellembelle and its environs especially Atuabo due to the relocation of the Gas project from his catchment area, the livid chief has again issued death threats to his subjects.
Awulae Annor's death threats, this reporter gathered, has this time around been directed at the Chief and People of Kabina-Suazo, a suburb of Half Assini, which fall under his jurisdiction.
This paper gathered that Awulae Annor's anger with the said chief, Nana Kabina Tindinle II, was because the Kabina-Suazo regent has consistently rebelled against his plans to foment trouble among the people of Nzema by thwarting the operations of the Gas project for reasons best known to him.
Residents at Kabina-Suazo, in a recent tape recording intercepted by this reporter underscored that although they were initially against the decision to relocate the project to another land, they were not in support of their Omanhene's misconduct which they contend is gradually denigrating Jomoro and Nzema's reputation.
They mentioned that the unhealthy and unpardonable comments made by their Omanhene and his cohorts to make the area an annex of the Niger Delta region in neighbouring Nigeria would not see the light of the day.
The Kabina-Suazo chief and his followers this paper learnt, have also dared the Omanhene to carry his threat of mobilising his 'Asafo war group' to beat up and torment the citizens of Kabina-Suazo.
They also added that, they will remain neutral and dissociate themselves from the intentions and remarks by their Omanhene.
“We the people of Kabina-Suazo will continue to support any good thing that is brought to us; but will not countenance on one person's selfish agenda,” a spokesperson for the Kabina-Suazo regent, Nana Kaku reiterated during a recent town hall meeting held to react to recent allegations against the Chief of Kabina-Suazo in an earlier press conference held in Takoradi by Awulea Annor Adjei III for attempting to sell 100 acres of land to the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Mr. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah.
“We wish to state categorically that Nana Kabina Tindinle II has never made the attempted to sell any parcel of land to Mr. Buah and will like to send a word of caution to Awulea Annor Adjei III, to come out to substantiate his claim,” Nana Kaku, added.
Deep throat sources close to the palace of the Omanhene, hint of an imminent bloody showdown if security agents do not intervene in the issue.
“I was very shocked when the message was delivered to the people cautioning them to be careful of their stance at celebrating their annual festival aimed at honouring Mr. Kofi Buah, whom they claim is a hero to Nzema's and a useful assert to the nation at large,” the source added.
Sources further appealed to authorities at the helm of affairs in the region to as a matter of urgency call Awulea Annor Adjei III to order, failure, they contend could draw the operations of the Gas project to a standstill.
