
Prices of the commodity went up significantly over the week in the Takoradi market over the week by 25% (Ghc 2.00 to Ghc 2.50) and 17% (Ghc 3.00 to Ghc 3.50) at the wholesale and retail trading levels respectively.
In the Agbogbloshie market the wholesale and retail prices inched up over the week by 6% (Ghc 3.07 to Ghc3.26) and 3 %( Ghc3.32 to Ghc 3.42) respectively. The Techiman and Hohoe markets however recorded flat trading in the commodity at both trading levels.
