INFORMATION REACHING DAILY GUIDE indicates the Ketu South NDC is currently in a state of fear as many of its delegates are allegedly being coerced to vote for one Raphael Alorwu as parliamentary candidate.

Joseph Agu, one of the delegates alleged the NDC candidate is secretly trying to eliminate his opponents including MP incumbent Albert Kwesi Zigah and Deputy Finance Minister, Fiifi Kwetey.

One of these strategies is the alleged swearing of an oath of secrecy and signing of an agreement captioned 'Alorwu and Partners.'

According to Agu, Alorwu has been coercing delegates to sign his agreement form and take an oath to support him in return for GH¢1,000. Those who refuse are threatened with an impending plague, he alleged.

'Mr. Alorwu first makes the candidates sign the agreement then swear the oath holding a white stick. If you refuse he tells you that once you have seen the agreement and heard the conditions, declining to sign will be at your own peril.'

He said after hearing the threats he signed the agreement but after assessing the situation he and his other colleagues decided to expose Mr. Alorwu.

Other delegates who declined to mention their names admitted signing the document and alleged that Raphael Alorwu had promised them surprise gifts 24 hours before the primaries.

They said they decided to betray their agreement after discovering that Mr. Alorwu was not eligible to contest since he registered with the Denu-Afegame NDC about a year ago.

Secondly, they alleged that he was behind the series of agitations and demonstrations against the ruling government over the Denu-Aflao dual carriage road.

The terrified delegates called on the constituency, regional and national executives of the NDC to direct Mr. Alorwu to undo the supposed spell he cast on them.

They also called for an investigation into the eligibility of Mr. Alorwu to contest the Ketu South NDC seat and subsequently disqualify him.

When contacted, Ketu South Constituency Chairman, Marshal Akumey denied knowledge of the said agreement form as well as the oath.

He consequently appealed to the victims to petition the party for redress instead going to the media.

Attempts to reach Mr. Alorwu for comment were unsuccessful.   The filling of nominations for outstanding constituencies that could not take part in the earlier parliamentary primaries closed on Wednesday.
