Christian Award Trust (CAT), a Non-Governmental Organization, has selected 1,000 orphans from 40 different orphanages across the country to give them the necessary support they need in order to survive and achieve their dreams.

The selected orphans would be provided with education, good healthcare, food, clothing and other basic amenities.

Speaking in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, the international liaison officer and a representative of CAT-conference, Dr. Mole Farah, said the aim of the NGO was to give innocent children who were victims of poverty opportunities and enable them to unlock their potentials, both physically and mentally.

According to Dr. Farah, she believed some of the children abandoned at orphanages in the country could become great and useful to the country when given the necessary support they needed in life.

This, she said, was the reason why they had taken it upon themselves to support the orphans in the area of education, health, clothing and feeding in order for them to unlock their potentials and fulfil their dreams in future.

Dr. Farah said, 'Each and every one of these children needs our help so we will do our best to give them the necessary support'.

She said the project embarked on by the Christian Award Trust would be launched on July 1, 2012 at the Fiesta Royal Hotel in Accra.

According to her, they would also use the occasion to solicit funds for to support the project in order to take good care of the orphans selected.
