Young Patriots: The true hypocrisy of Professor J.E.A Mills on politics of insults (Statement)

The Young Patriots will continue to expose the serial and pathological hypocrisy of Professor John Atta Mills to the good people of Ghana. At the NDC Greater Accra Regional Rally held at Mantse Agbonaa on Saturday 17th March saw how NDC speaker after speaker insulted Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP in the full glare of the President. The President and his party are so paranoid about Nana Akufo Addo and his good policies and programmes he intends to roll out to Ghanaians when elected the president. They have no solution to the problems confronting the nation and only resort to insults and propaganda.

ATTACK ON NANA ADDO & NPP
President Mills was sitting on the stage when his appointees and some party leaders like Aseidu Nketia, Yaw Boateng Gyan, Jemina Sosu a.k.a Anita De Sooso, Fiifi Kwetey et al insulted Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP respectively. Young Patriots thought with his commitment to stop the politics of insults, when he had his turn to address the crowd he will rebuke them but only added insults to injury. The president said people who have no achievements in life only resort to insults and lies. The simple truth is that they are paranoid about Nana Addo's programmes and policies.

If Yaw Boateng Gyan wants to talk about morality he should first find out the moral character of Professor Atta Mills. This is a man who had a child out of wed lock. This is a man who is not bold enough to take full responsibility of the only son in his life. The only son cannot even visit his own father's house. This is a man who beat his wife mercilessly during his teaching days in Legon under the influence of hard liquor, Indian hemp or 'wee'. Prior to his election as the president of Ghana what was his achievement in life?

ACHIEVEMENTS OF NANA AKUFO ADDO
Nana Addo has achieved a lot in life. A legal luminary of international repute. Nana Addo has 60 cases captured in the Ghana Law Reports to professional and academic research for practicing and law students in our country. The greatest case was Tuffour Vrs Attorney General as the lead counsel.

Can Professor Mills end his lessons successfully without making reference to Nana Addo's cases? Nana is a business man who facilitated for DHL and Mobitel into the country. Nana Addo was former president of Greater Accra Branch of GBA, trained a lot of professional lawyers, served on boards of several institutions, Nana Addo is an astute politician of international class. A distinguished diplomat who chaired the UN Security Council as the Foreign Minister of Ghana. Nana Addo facilitated conflict resolutions in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea etc. The media freedom that Ghanaians are enjoying today was due to the efforts of Nana Addo as the then Attorney General and Minister of Justice to repeal the criminal libel law, approved by Parliament and accented by President Kufour from our books.

Characters like Yaw Boateng Gyan, Asiedu Nketia and professor Mills et al instead of using media prudently rather turn around and insult their opponents. President Mills is a major beneficiary of insults on his opponents by his hawks and appointees. Nana Akufo Addo fought for entrenchment of democracy in Ghana since from 1974. When his chambers were used to defend Ghanaians who were brutalised, killed, confiscation of assets, Professor Mills was sitting in the comfort of his home drinking and dinning.

The Young Patriots have always said issued based campaign are welcomed in all our political discourse. But Professor Mills has been a major beneficiary of these insults and always want Ghanaians to believe that he is pious and frowns on insults. The president was heard on the stage insulting his opponents as non achievers. What is the difference between the president and his hawks? The president has clearly exposed his serial, pathological and professional hypocrisy. He sends his hawks to go out there to insult Nana Addo, Soldiers, the clergy, teachers, medical doctors and nurses, imams and Moslems et al.

CONCLUSION
Nana Akufo Addo is promising free SHS to the children because he believes it is the human development of our people that can transform the country. He will restore the collapsing National Health Insurance to operate fully, modernize agriculture, support for the private sector, provide massive infrastructural development, and support the industrial sector and good governance.

Ghanaians are fed up with the most corrupted President and government who fraudulently approved a colossal amount of monies to be paid to people who had no contract with the people of Ghana. A visionless, lazy and medically unfit President who lied to Ghanaians about his health and the nation is spending over 5 million dollars a year on his health which could have been used to put up schools, pipe borne water, roads, clinics etc.
