The Director of Operations for Friends of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings (FONKAR) group has been detained at the Police Headquarters.
Ernest Owusu Bempah is being interrogated by the police over his allegation that the first lady, Ernestina Naadu Mills was given 5 million cedis in the controversial judgement debt paid NDC financier Alfred Woyome.
It is not yet clear what charges have been preferred against him.
But members of FONKAR have besieged the premises of the Police HQ to show solidarity.
