
Anfoega Agata-Anyigbe (V/R), Feb. 28, GNA – The Most Reverend Francis Anani Lodonu, Bishop of the Ho Diocese of the Catholic Church, has exhorted Ghanaians to identify their individual God-given talents and develop them for the country's advancement.
He said that was the surest way the country could achieve a high level of scientific, technological and social progress it very much requires.
The Most Rev. Lodonu gave the exhortation at a pre-burial service of Togbe Anthonio Yao Mawusi, a centenarian at Anfoega Agata-Anyigbe in the Kpando district, at the weekend.
Togbe Mawusi's biography read, “Though illiterate, he founded a branch of the Roman Catholic Church at Obuasi rpt Obuasi in the Jasikan rpt Jasikan District of the Volta Region in the 1930s.
He was taught to read and write the Ewe language and was able to propagate the gospel in the area.
A total of 100 Catholic Priests were at the funeral to pay their last respects.
