Accra, Feb. 28, GNA -Dr Charles Owiredu, President of Yeshua Institute of Technology in Accra says education is not just a means to get a good job and fat pay but a tool for societal reformation.
Dr Owiredu explained that education meant bringing the best out of a person and that best was expected to be applied to society for a positive change.
He said good education was the one that could be used to positively change society, adding that, education without a good mind was very dangerous and destructive.
"Training a scientist without accompanying it with morals was not enough. A good scientist without good morals is very dangerous to society.”
Dr Owiredu was speaking at the graduation of the first batch of students of the Livine Bible College at Mamprobi.
Six ladies and two gentlemen, the pioneers of the College, who went through a six-month intensive training in Bible and community evangelism, were awarded with certificates.
The college established a year ago trains Christians with as little as junior secondary school education with the skills of impacting the true Christian faith and belief in people within their communities.
Dr Owiredu urged the graduates to put into practice all the knowledge they had acquired for the good of society and their communities in particular.
Rev Alex Twumasi, Dean of the College congratulated the graduates for their hard work.
Bishop Anthony Adjei, President of the College and the General Overseer of the Living Vine Gospel Ministries International, said he was very grateful to God to see the first batch of graduates roll out of the College.
He appealed to well-wishing Ghanaians and organisations to support the college.
