By Embassy of Italy in Cairo

CAIRO, Egypt, February 27, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- A meeting that provided “a wealth of proposals and advice” for Italian entrepreneurs operating in Egypt. This was how Minister Giulio Terzi described the meeting at the foreign ministry in Rome with his Egyptian counterpart, Kemal Amr, and leading members of both countries' business communities.

The Terzi-Amr meeting is a follow-up to last month's meeting in Cairo. As such it represents “continuity in the dialogue on the major issues on the international agenda and on bilateral relations in their political and, above all, economic aspects. Relations that are marked by a spirit of close friendship”, remarked Terzi.

During the discussions Amr illustrated “the course taken by his country in the process of consolidating the democratic institutions and in the institutional and constitutional transformation”, added Terzi. He underscored that “the meeting has given me and the Italian business community a clear vision of all that Egyptian society is doing on its path to true democracy”.

Terzi thanked his colleague for the information provided for Italian enterprises. By increasing their presence in Egypt, he said, “they could contribute to our country's economic growth”.
