Ho, Jan. 31, GNA - Mr Francis Kwawu, a former Ho Municipal Director of Education, has commended Wallahs Academy Senior High School in Ho for promoting quality senior high school education in the Municipality.

He said though the School is just five years old, it had chalked several achievements especially recording excellent results in the West Africa Secondary Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).

Mr Kwawu made the commendation at the inauguration of Wallahs Academy Army Cadet and the launch of the School's fifth anniversary in Ho.

“With 100 per cent pass in five years, you are among the top five private senior high schools in the Region and I must say I am really proud of you,” he said.

Mr Kwawu challenged the school authorities to focus on discipline among students as much as in high academic performances.

Reverend Joseph Senyo-Pongo, Resident Pastor of Evangel Assemblies of God Church Ho, also urged the School authorities to address issues pertaining to morality among the students.

He said that was necessary to match academic and professional excellence with moral uprightness.

The anniversary, scheduled for March this year is on the theme, “Five years of quality education, success, challenges and way forward.”

Mr Maxwell Afram, Rector of the Academy, said the school now has over 300 students from just nine five years ago.

Programmes lined up for the fifth anniversary include, clean-up exercises, symposiums and an anniversary durbar on March 10.
