Residents in the Tema West constituency woke up Wednesday to see the whole area washed with posters of the NPP with Nana Addo but with a blank space for who becomes the MP on the ticket of the party in this year's elections.

The posters have a smiling Nana Akufo-Addo with the inscription “Redemption Movement for Tema West Constituency.”

The posters among other things; seek to be calling on a faceless person to redeem the constituency from the current MP Irene Naa Torshi Addo.

The group at the centre of this gimmick say anyone who wants to lead the constituency must be are "Humble, Truthful, Respect, Non-Tribalistic, and morally upright".

According to the group, the MP has failed in the criteria they have set.

Chairman for the Movement, Dr. Martin Antwi who was the former Vice Chairman for the NPP in the constituency, told Adom News that they were disappointed at the way the National and Regional executives are addressing cracks within the Tema West NPP.

He indicated their resolve to vote skirt and blouse should the problem persist since they are of the conviction that Naa Torshie cannot lead the NPP in Tema West.

Meanwhile, the Greater Accra Regional Communications Director of the NPP, Micheal Ampong, said the party was aware that “majority” of the NPP members in the Tema West had problems with the candidature of Naa Torshie.

He said the party is working to address the issue.
