Africa and same sex marriage

God the creator sent the prophet Jeremiah to invite the family of the Rechabites to a royal galore in the temple. To the amazement of the prophet, the family spokesman turned down the offer. His excuse was "We will drink no wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, 'You shall drink no wine, you nor your sons, forever. 7 'You shall not …. have any of these; but all your days you shall dwell in tents, that you may live many days in the land where you are sojourners.' 8 "Thus we have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters (Jeremiah 35:6-8). Then came the word of the LORD to Jeremiah, saying, Jeremiah 35:14 the son of Rechab ….obey their fathers "Will you not receive instruction to obey My words?" (Jeremiah 35:12, 13, 14). Read full text from Jeremiah 35: 1 – 14.

The love that Ghanaians have for the Queen and her people should not be tinkered with by mere political rhetoric or vainly because politicians want votes from homosexuals. The relations between the Queen and the peoples of West Africa dated many hundreds of years ago and it is not known who the son of Belial is coming to destroy that warmth. However, there is nothing volatile than the order by the Queen to Africans to go Sodom and Gomorrah. Like a silent-mute cow for the slaughter Malawi quickly succumbed to the order. Caught at the cross roads and no one to the rescue only God knows who are running to join the queue. The old wise man in Africa believes, “If a father sits at home, keeps his silence, while the children feast on the meat of the vulture, when the eaters are being counted, that father will no doubt be numbered among those who feasted on the vulture.

Marriage means different things to different cultures. Polygene popularly known as Polygamy is the system which legalizes the man to take as many wives as he pleases. The system is well known because of its biblical origin. This is also commonly practiced among African gormandizers. Polyandry is another form of plural marriage. To some people, giving a woman the right to select the number of men she wants to keep as husbands is ridiculous, yet a sweet cultural practice which raises no qualms in certain tribal communities.

because
I am sure no African head of state can go to the UN and press their contemporaries go to their respective countries and abrogate existing marriage laws so that those who want to marry two, or three, or four can do so. The condition is that Africa will cut the supply of economic materials to any country which does not promote polygamy. Ironically, sodomy, now beautifully re-packaged as “same sex marriage” is being forced down the throat of Africa. I heard the police in the UK, arrested a couple who came out in nudity on the streets. Their excuse was that, “Naked did they come from their mothers' womb and naked they will go” but the police arrested and arraign them before a magistrate court charging them for unlawful exposure. Unlawful exposure indeed! Is not trampling on the rights of the minority?

Immediately after the order to Africa to patronize over Sodom,

it was reported by courtesy of BBC that, France was going to court to seek the ban on prostitution. We are staying put to see what Amnesty International will say because this obviously infringes on the rights of minority group. If governments will sit down unconcern for everything called minority rights to prevail, smoking of marijuana, or cocaine, or anything will pervade the open streets with impunity and the world will be chaotic a place to live.

C S Lewis sees rebellious man trying to unseat God, if he can, and sit on the throne. For that matter, whatever God has declared abomination doesn't any longer matter. The crusade this time is being led by no mean a personality than someone highly esteemed in the political landscape.

When he met African leaders of equal standing like himself, assuming they were from poverty stricken nations, he had the audacious to propose to them to go and see to it that their peoples begin considering eating the forbidden apple or risk forfeiting all the financial assistance their respective countries receives from her majesty. This obviously is a post-colonization attack.

The irony of it all is that soon after the detestable proclamation, an international organization, a highly respected human rights activist, came out and added his voice, “Yes! Africans should listen to the voice of “He who must be obeyed” and practice homosexualism and lesbianism because what is good for westerners might be equally good for Africans. By the connive silence of the world, I infer that all the good people forcing our leaders to introduce laws on what has been beautifully carved as “Same sex marriage” which is widely condemned in the Holy scriptures, and jettisoned by those whose logo articulates a message “In God we trust”

I am forced to believe that it is the same powers that forced the imperial church over there to sanction homosexualism and lesbianism in the church. After that success the giant is now spreading wide his tentacles to reach the shores of Africa. Now their agenda is clear and ye shall know them by their fruits. All those who advocate for same sex marriage must not be seen as mere figure heads seeking the rights of minority but in a wider context, be seen as an indictment to womanhood. Is all that is important to politicians the votes and nothing else? Posterity is watching impatiently, the legacy of all its leaders and everyone should be mindful of whatever you are putting upon the precious building, whether precious stones or straw, or hay.

Marriage is a well entrenched culture in society and every culture has its own ethical laws of marriage. it will be therefore suicidal for any power to attempt to modernize, modify, or victimize other cultures for not living like them. David Hesselgrave (1994) describes culture like a coconut. Yet, the husk that houses the soft fiber even though is called the coconut it is not the real coconut. It is only when one is able to remove the heavy outer coat and the hard shell around the fiber, that one meets the real coconut. What one sees in the African as extreme abhorrence for eating the forbidden apple is deeply hidden behind many layers of culture and you will be seen by posterity as the one whose leadership rocked the African marriage boat and wrought chaos and caused commotion in the African family system. Let me show you a clear example: MadamCOT, a royal from the Lion tribe; marries XY of the same sex and have a son who goes to court and plead for equal rights and privileges. 20 years later this young man comes back and is contesting for the royal throne. All the town folk know this son of a same sex marriage now vying for the royal throne. “Ebaa fee gbeyee?”

According to anthropologist Kottak (2004), cultural traditions promotes certain activities and abilities, discourages others, and set standards” (Anthropology: Exploration of human diversity. p8). That is why in certain cultures the society sees nothing wrong with fraternal polyandry. Fraternal polyandry a system where the woman becomes the automatic wife of all brothers and each of the brothers enjoy equal rights for sex with their brother's wife. (recommended for further reading, Kottak, (1994), Anthropology, p.363) No question please!

We urge African legislators not to be intimidated by treats of cutting back aids. an African proverbs says, “After all when there was no war, the flies were licking wounds already.” You answer and say to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you…. you judge. … (Acts 4:19).Though we are a poor nation, yet we hereby solemnly affirm that, "We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5: 29) Finally, But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8-9) Amen!

We will have to sell all our freedoms and rights to God to become human beings created in the image of God. Paul sold his freedom and rights (In Philippians 3:7 Paul said), “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.” We need to take God by His word and take the preaching of the good news as if our very existence is entirely dependent upon it for Christ's sake whereby the world might be saved through our labor of love.
